From the Shang Tsung announcement to the remix of the film’s theme in yesterday’s launch trailer, the developer has been all about that ’90s nostalgia. However, with Mortal Kombat 11, it’s all about that super klassic, super corny Mortal Kombat film, which hit theaters in 1995. In fact, we haven’t seen this much celebration for the history of the 27-year-old franchise since Mortal Kombat 9 - a soft reboot of the original game. For Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm has been embracing a lot of the series’ roots.
